Custom BBCode!
« on: May 15, 2019, 11:00:12 AM »
To make the forum run more smoothly, we've installed some custom BBCode and added some options for you!

Mentioning Users: If you'd like to send a notification to another user in a post, simply put the @ symbol followed by their username.  Make sure you have their full, exact username! For instance, @blue will mention the user "blue". Quotes have been adjusted so that they automatically add a mention to the quoted user. If you do not want to mention the user with a quote, simply edit the mention out of the start. Nested quotes will not notify.

Spoiler Tag: If you're posting about media that you don't want to spoil or if you simply want to keep large amounts of text beneath a click, you can use our spoiler tag. Simply put [spoiler] at the start and [/spoiler] at the end of the text you want hidden. For instance:

(click to show/hide)

Username BBCode: If you wish to link to a user's profile, you can do so with our custom uid BBCode. You simply put the user's name between uid codes like this: [uid]name[/uid]. Make sure you have their full, exact username! For instance, [uid]blue[/uid] will result in blue.

Aligned Images: If you want your image to float on the left side or right side of your image, you can use the imgright and imgleft tags, in place of simple img tags. Simply put [imgright] at the start of your image url and [/imgright] at the end. Text will flow around the image.

Indent: If you wish to indent text, simply put it inside of an [indent][/indent] tag. You can also stack these tags for deeper indents. For example, [indent]here is some indented text[/indent] results in the following:

here is some indented text

NOBBC: If you wish for the bbcode to show in your post, instead of it rendering, simply use the [nobbc][/nobbc] tag. Put whatever text you want to render full between the two tags. For example, [nobbc][i]some text![/i][/nobbc] would result in [i]some text![/i].

Dice Roller: In order to play games and run raffles or other events, we've installed a dice roller on this forum. The basics are simple:  [roll]1d6[/roll] - rolls 1 6-sided dice. However, there are more complicated routines this dice roller can do as well.
  • [roll]2d12+5[/roll]  - roll 2 12-sided dice and add 5 to the result
  • [roll]2d20^10[/roll] - roll 2 20-sided dice, re-rolling any result necessary so that the dice rolls are greater than 10.
  • [roll]2d20v10[/roll] - roll 2 20-sided dice, re-rolling any result necessary so that the dice rolls are less than 10.
  • [roll]2d20<10[/roll] - roll 2 20-sided dice, discarding any result where the roll was not less than 10.
  • [roll]2d20>10[/roll] - roll 2 20-sided dice, discarding any result where the roll was not greater than 10.
  • [roll]{Freezing} 1d10 {Fire} 1d20[/roll] - Normally it will add the word 'Rolled' in front - you can customize this to say what you'd like.
  • [roll]2d6x3[/roll] - roll 2d6 3 times and display the results overall
There are also limitations to prevent abuse; the most dice that can be used at once is 20, and the highest value of dice is 1000-sided.

Whiteblock: user the [whiteblock][/whiteblock] tag to put any content on a simple white background.
