[ b ] A New Journey (Young & Serpent of Paradise)

Post by rexcorvus »

In the forest, in her little glade, Used to be Young stared a little dismally at the nest she had created in the tree hollow. She had managed to scrounge together a sizeable amount of twigs, leaves and branches for what she had thought would be a more than suitable place to raise young kin, but now that she was looking at it from a distance, stepped back, it was not nearly as comfortable as she had hoped.

Nor as strong. One of the leaves wilted miserably and then fell, slightly pathetically, to the forest floor.

Young sighed. Then she sat on her haunches and tried not to wail in frustration.

[ b ] A New Journey (Young & Serpent of Paradise)

There was a lot the doe was finding she needed to get used to, and one of those things was the Call. A niggling since of something, quite unexplainable, that she felt like a pulling deep inside her. It was a strange sense, sometimes ignorable and sometimes not. She felt it now, pulling her through the trees, towards who knew where.

As she nearer the clearing a the ghostly image of a bird drifted on ahead of her, dipping as it spotted the acha doe, the tips of bright feathers nearly brushing her head as she swooped and circled. Merry was only a few steps behind it, and she paused at the edge of the clearing, noting it looked rather homey, before walking slowly forward, a kind and curious smile pulling at her pale mare.

"You look sad, are you alright?"
