[BRP] Making Brilliance at Dawn (Force of Brilliance x Tidal Terror)

Post by doomsayer »

Force of Brilliance rarely climbed down the mountain range to mingle with plains and desert kin--not because of a personal rule or anything like that, but mainly because she had her fair share of kin to manage in the mountain communes. She didn't need to know more kin, she was of the opinion that she had enough friends.

Unfortunately it was her turn to come down with the group and make good with the ground kin, and she had no excuse to get out of it this time. She figured she'd be on her best behavior, do what was needed to be done, and get everything over with as soon as possible so she could get back to doing what she did best up where the air is thin and her horns could touch the sky.

What ruined that plan was a Kimeti buck named Outcast Dawn. He was so pretty, so refined. His stance and gait a mixture of natural grace with just a hint of arrogance in his overall confident demeanor. She couldn't help but want to corner him and poke and prod until she could crack into what lay beneath his dignified bearing. But she didn't anticipate that once she got him alone, he would be so receptive to her aggressive advances. She may have pushed a tad too far, and she wasn't going to back down just because his true nature wanted her. She figured after an enjoyable, casual roll in the hay, she'd make her way back up to the mountain range with a story to tell about what the ground kin are really like.

But instead, her trip back is plagued with bloatedness and morning sickness. She knew what this was. She didn't expect it, and she could already hear her father lecturing her about not getting a blessing so that her children could have the best future.

Fine. She knew any child she'd birth would be strong--that's just what it took to survive up in the mountains--but she figures there's more to living than just surviving. So she'd pray to the Motherfather to send one of the ascended her way.

In the meantime, her body was against her and it was going to be a very long climb back up.

[BRP] Making Brilliance at Dawn (Force of Brilliance x ???)

Tidal Terror had recently blessed a kin close to the mountains, so she was already in the area when she felt another kin needing her help.
She wondered how far she would go until she felt the Ache...if she even would feel it anymore. The last time she was up in the mountains, a legendary had dampened the Ache's effects. Would she be immune to it herself? Did she even want to test it?

But if she was being called to assist a kin...she supposed she would risk testing the limits of the Motherfather's gifts.

She just hoped that she would be able to assist even if the Ache began to nip at her heels.

Tidal Terror caught sight of the doe perhaps sooner than she expected; no painful trek up the mountains today!

However, it seemed like the other kin was heading up instead of down. Did the doe know...?

Well. Tidal Terror wouldn't judge, but she was glad to no longer be expected to tough it out so when...expecting.

"Hail and well-met!" Tidal Terror called in hopes that the other doe would not head too far away before the legendary could catch up.

Force of Brilliance barely stopped in her tracks to look behind at the Totoma that was greeting her. The feeling of bloatedness and the dehydration that came with the morning sickness did not do any favors for her already underdeveloped social skills.

She turned around and glared at the Totoma; "Who are you and what do you want? I'm pregnant and I have a long way to climb today, so please don't test me."
