His mother's call was more than enough encouragement for Hushed Gathering to get moving. He clambered over his father's legs and trotted towards Worlds, kicking sand behind him. The young foal's curled tail bounced behind him as he jittered with excitement. Sure, his mother's story the night before was on his mind, but it did little to dampen his excitement to finally get into the ocean. He would be super careful! He would listen so hard! He was going to swim better than he'd ever swam before! Which was...never. That was besides the point! He playfully nudged his sister, Sunset Swell, when he reached her, and smiled. "
Come onnnnn!" he called back to his father and siblings. He heard the ocean beckoning to him in hushed whispers and lapping waves and couldn't wait any longer to play in the sea's open embrace.

Written in the Ancient Sediments was excited to learn to swim, sure. There were so many beautiful things under the sea for her to discover, she just needed to learn how to get to them. The whispers of the sea were not lost on her, and the little foal spent most of the previous night listening to them. This probably contributed to why she was so tired, but the tiny doe did not have the same outward enthusiasm as her siblings most days. At the moment, she was unceremoniously draped over her father and held her eyes closed. Maybe if she didn't move, she could sleep in a little longer. The ocean wasn't going anywhere! What was so wrong with sleeping in? The groan she heard from her father informed her he likely felt the same.
Bay Sleep glanced up at his sleepy daughter and grinned. The little doe looked content to sleep well into the afternoon before starting their festivities, but he knew there was no way he could hold back her siblings until then. "
Want a ride to the water?" He whispered to her gently. Her sleepy nod was all he needed, and Bay Sleep gingerly got to his feet without jostling the doe draped over him. Once he was upright and she was comfortably flopped over him like a length of kelp, he looked over the scene. A pressure on his leg brought his attention lower, and his smile widened a little more. Deep Found Peace hadn't charged headlong towards the water and leaned sleepily against him as well. Bay Sleep bent his head low and nuzzled his son gently. "
Let's go," he murmured with an encouraging tone before he started to move forward, "
it'll be a lot of fun."
