Her name was spoken among the forest creatures with a mix of respect and fear. She used to be a gentle and graceful soul, but that had changed after betrayal and loss. The doe had faced heartbreak, and it had hardened her in ways that could never be undone. She was strong, yes, but it was a strength born from pain, from surviving things that many could not. Others saw that strength as a wall, something they couldnt break through.
Her past followed her like a shadow, never letting her forget those who had wronged her. But the doe wasn’t one to dwell on sadness. She had learned that revenge was far stronger than sorrow. There was a fire inside her, a need to make things right, to take back everything that had been stolen. Her pride was sharp like a knife and her words could wound anyone who dared challenge her.
She had been betrayed, left behind to pick up the broken pieces of her life. But now, she was not the same doe she had once been. She had come out of the darkness stronger, harder to break. Yet, that darkness still lived inside her and it made trusting anyone, even now in this cursed forest, impossible.
But tonight something was different. Something was pulling her deeper into the woods, beyond the familiar pathways and into the heart of the corruption that had been slowly creeping through the land. There had been whispers, talk of a force that was spreading, poisoning the land and its creatures. And it wasnt just the land that had been scarred, it was the very souls of the forests kin and animals. The doe could feel it, an energy that felt wrong, twisted, and dark. She had learned long ago that when the forest itself was sick, no one was safe.
Her ears flicked as a sound reached her ears, a sound too soft to be a threat but loud enough to be a warning. She froze, her heart beating a little faster as she scanned the trees. Something was watching her.
