Things like counter shading, or markings/colour placements that you'd find on living creatures (like lizards, fish or birds) would be fab. Colours are pretty free, go wild! I love me some hueshift, I love jeweltones, I love complementary colour schemes and monochrome grey/white/black with a single pop of colour....

So like... "naturals" in a more-than-just-brown-mammals context, real life animal markings, countershading.
