[B] Star Watching (Wakes at Twilight x Guardian of Life)

Post by Lirilei »

Wakes at Twilight woke with her usual slow stretch taking stock of her surroundings as she moved, a feeling of content washing through her. She'd noticed the signs of life as surely as she recognized certain stars in the sky and it brought a smile to her face. She'd missed the pitter patter of little hooves and teaching them about the stars.

Settling comfortably she stared up at the sky watching as one by one the sky was filled with stars and the moon was full above her before she set out. She knew the routine at this point and knew that someone would find her before too long. Ambling along under the moon and stars was far from a hardship for her, she did this often enough and it was peaceful out right then the weather a little chilly sure but her walk soon warmed her.

Guardian had been settled, enjoying the night sky as she was preparing to rest for the night when she felt a kin in need of her and she eased to her hooves with a light yawn. She'd been prepared to sleep but duty called and it was one she was prepared to fulfill no matter the time of day. She was glad for the bright moon above as she made her way, catching sight of a doe walking towards her after what was probably a few hours of walking.

Wakes recognized that this was a Mare coming towards her, and she picked up the pace to get to her goal that much sooner, a called out "Hello! I hope you can help me out!" given as the distance between them closed.

Guardian was a little surprised when the doe picked up speed but then wagered she probably knew what she was, and smiled some. "I have a feeling I can help you yes." she waited patiently for the doe to get closer, and start to talk, an amused note from her.

"I hope so. I wish I'd thought to bring you a gift though." she began worriedly, relaxing as Guardian told her there was no need of a gift. "Oh, I'm glad this won't keep you from helping me. I'm Wakes at Twilight and well...I guess you can probably tell I'm going to be a mother seeing as you seemed to be looking for me as I was you."

"Pleased to meet you Wakes at Twilight, I'm Guardian of Life...and no, not having a gift won't keep me from helping you. I never require one, and the times I get one is always a lovely surprise." she'd kept every little trinket she'd been given. Or eaten it if it was food that wouldn't hold of course. "Now, how about you tell me what it is you're hoping for, hm?"

Wakes thought about it a moment. Then thought some more. She'd been so focused on finding someone she hadn't stopped to think about what to ask for. Once she figured it out though, she broke into a bright smile. "I hope that my kids find their passion. What it is they love to do that makes them happy. After all, it's through doing that I met their father."

"I think that's a sweet sentiment. May the MotherFather bless your children with the luck to find what it is that drives them and makes them passionate about their lives." She took a few steps back and shifted forms a pale moth floating upwards and soon blending in with the full moon. Or so it seemed to Wakes.
