[B] Singular and thorough (Creeping Dark and Sun-Cursed)

Post by LOLLI qAq »

Creeping Dark rarely interacted with others. Even more rarely did she seek out their company. Until she'd found him.
More cat than kin like she was, but he was the light to her dark. Sparkling and gleaming. She'd become entranced ...

And now they were going to have children.
Well, she was going to have children.
Creeping was curled up in the shade of some large foliage, tail idly flicking back and forth as she thought. She'd need a blessing. To ensure her kids were protected in case anything happened to her.
But, more importantly and immediately, she was going to need to hunt.

[B] Singular and thorough (Creeping Dark and ??)

That evening, Sun-Cursed had chosen to go beyond the territory she shared with Smoldering Ember. Something about that night had called for her to go a little further than normal. She knew she'd have to start her return home a little (or a lot) sooner than normal but if there was anything she learned from Wayward Son was that routines and predictability were not always a good thing.

In this situation, the need for her to venture a little more ways away felt like it was being prompted by something other than wanting to avoid routine. She didn't know the exact location of the expecting parent, but she had an approximate knowledge thanks to the pull. The mare didn't want to just assume things, nor did she want to step on any other ascended's toes. She decided to give whoever this was the option of making the first move. Purposefully, her gait through the plants was loud and she made no conscious effort to dim her halo's glow.

[B] Singular and thorough (Creeping Dark and Sun-Cursed)

Dark's ears twitched in the direction of the sound, and a soft sound between a huff and maybe of a word of self-encouragement came out of her mouth. Bright eyes were instantly following the path her ears had taken and she moved from a lazing position to that of a crouch. She wasn't quite ready to give chase, but she could be at a moment's notice.

The sounds of something crashing through the underbrush was too big, too loud, for her normal prey and she thought for moment it might be boar- Then she saw the halo of light. Watching the approaching doe move Creeping Dark's eyes narrowed and she cocked her head to the side. Something about the acha seemed strange. More.

A legendary.

Dark stood so that she could be seen, but she didn't say anything. It would be presumptive and possibly dangerous to assume the legendary acha was here for her.

Normally, failing to spot a hidden kin would have made Sun-Cursed's heart race in fright (some things from one's past just had a way of leaving a lasting imprint on one). But because of the stare-off between them, the mare eventually found the situation funny. While she managed to swallow a chuckle, her halo brightened in amusement as she silently shared the brightness of sight with the acha doe. It was her way of showing she meant no harm, and to try and be even more non-threatening, she gave the doe a wide, warm smile.

With a cant of her head, Sun-Cursed asked of the acha doe, "Expecting?"
