Tomorrow's Dawn hummed softly - a quiet lullaby as the sun set, casting deep oranges and rich reds across the swamp. Her eyes chased the fading sun as time passed. Children, her heart thumped in staccato, growing louder with every beat until she could hardly think with the sound of it.

It was not what she had planned for herself, but as dawn broke across the valley and her heart slowed a slow smile upturned her lips.

He arrived just as the dawn did, his hair and markings matching the fiery sky, as if he was stepping forth from the sun. The legendary found Tomorrow’s Dawn where she was resting, his steps slow and measured.

The stag’s eyes glowed as he watched her and asked in a low voice, “you’re going to be a mother soon. How do you feel?”
