Trim had not expected the fear that came with the knowledge of his impending fatherhood. His own father had adopted him, so he had plenty of preparation in advance. For Trim, the suddenness of the situation made him more nervous than ever before. He knew he wanted to seek out a legendary, to put his mind at ease. He heard tale of a Totoma legendary, and was driven to search for her blessing.
With a shell full of fish bait to offer as a gift, Trim waited by the water. The locals said this was a frequent fishing spot for her, so he hoped he wouldn't have to wait too long to see her. While he waited, he preened his feathery cape until it was dirt-free. He wanted to look his best, of course.

Re: [B] Fish-ion Forward (Trim & Real Big Fish)
[imgleft]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... ncert3.png[/imgleft] He didn't have long to wait. With a mighty splash, a heavily horned head broke the surface of the water not far upstream, a writhing catfish gripped between her teeth. The fish was immensely slimy and utterly furious, but she held on, ignoring its sharpened barbels and flailing. She'd been stalking her prey the better part of the day, and their wrestling match had gone from the fish's comfort zone to her own. But she could feel it tiring, and with a great heave, she forced the fish to shore. A sharp crack, a thud- it was landed. Ended quickly, nothing doing in letting the poor thing suffer. She smiled grimly. This fish wasn't for eating now; this fish was for drying. Come winter, the jerky could feed her, or someone else. The fish shuddered once more and was still- and just as well. She had an audience. She preened just a little; it was a clean landing, a good fight, and really- a truly massive catfish.
"How d'you do, stranger? It's a fine day on the water," she said, shaking, mindful that she was far enough away not to spray him. "Fishing for anything specific?"

Re: [B] Fish-ion Forward (Trim & Real Big Fish)
"Goodness me!" He stared at the totoma and her fish with wide eyes and an open mouth. Trim was certainly impressed. His father had totoma strength, but he had never witnessed such a catch from one kin alone! These legendaries were truly something special to behold.
Where were his manners, though? He was being very rude, staring at her like that.
"Hello there! Believe it or not, I'm not looking for fish... I was looking for you!" Trim stood tense, trying to maintain his best posture. "My name is Trim! And you— if you are who I believe you are— are Real Big Fish?" He asked. The size of the catfish answered his question alone, but he didn't want to be rude. Totoma were very particular about their names, after all.
@Scaramouche Fandango AHHHH IM ALIVE!! IM ALIVE!!!

"What gave it away? The real big fish?" Fish chuckled, shaking some of the water from her fur. "Yes, that's my name. You look a little old for my junior fisherkin classes- I suppose there's something really important on your mind, which..." she trailed off, looking him up and down. "I bet I can help you with it. Or you want a masterclass in catching catfish, which I can definitely help with. Are you here seeking the Swamp's favor for your family?"
