[imgleft]http://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/image ... uncert.png[/imgleft]Blooming dread the changing of the seasons (unless spring was arriving) and was never quite as prepared as she should be, given her years of experience in dealing with them. It was a lot of work, clearing her gardens of those plants that would not survive the change and preparing to plant the seeds that would grow the following season.
It was a lot of work but she would not trade it for the world, no matter how much she complained.
While she worked, she hummed a soft little melody, completely out of tune and lacking rhythm.

Re: [SRP] How Does Your Garden Grow? [ Blooming Mad x Sap ]
[imgright]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... uncert.png[/imgright]Sap had travelled quite far since leaving the familiar surroundings of her childhood. She was grown now, ready to make her own decisions and plans without her father's input. His input never came from a bad place - he just worried about her and wished only for her safety and happiness. She just needed him to understand that it was her life to live and sometimes there would be danger and mistakes but they were her own and that's all she wanted.
The sound of humming interrupted her thoughts and she followed it until she came to what she could only describe as the most wonderful garden she had ever seen. There were so many plants - though they were in varying states of 'alive' or 'dormant' or 'dead' - something she credited to the changing of the seasons rather than neglect or lack of skill.
A doe was working hard, pulling the plants that were particularly dead from the ground with her mouth and tossing them to the side. So engrossed in her work, she didn't notice Sap walk up until she said "Hi!" and she jumped back with a fright.
"Is this your place? It's lovely."

Re: [SRP] How Does Your Garden Grow? [ Blooming Mad x Sap ]
Blooming Mad was carefully and delicately pulling a rather troublesome thorny bush that had proven impossible to nurture back to life - she had expected as much since it had come from the warm, dry air of the plains and was likely not used to the moist, dense air of the swamp. She would keep trying, of course - such was her nature. Even if her life ended before it's began, she would love it. She was tossing the bush in her pile of dead things that she would later squish and use to feed the living things when the voice of another came. She jumped, landing in another prickly bush that scratched along the side of her leg.
Wincing, Blooming helped herself up and regarded the stranger in her garden.
"It is indeed. Mind your step, there are many sprouts about and if you trample them there's going to be trouble," she replied with a frown and stern demeanor. Blood trickled down her leg and she looked down with a sigh - it didn't sting but she needed to clean it regardless and that meant less time for gardening. She muttered to herself about time and work as she trudged toward the stream next to her garden.

Sap flinched as the doe fell and stepped forward to help her rise, though it was unnecessary. She noticed the blood also but the chastising she received distracted her and she looked around, suddenly conscious of where her hooves were and how big and heavy she was and how small the sprouts were and..
By the time she looked up, the doe was walking away and she hurried after her, unknowingly trampling a few saplings on the way.
"Wait! Let me help," she called as she caught up. "It was my fault anyway."
They entered the stream and Sap splashed water onto the doe's leg. The blood was still fresh and so it washed away easily enough; a stream of pink before the water cleansed it until it was water itself.
"There," Sap smiled. "All better." She exited the stream with a shiver - temperatures were dropping and the water was chilly.
"I'm Sap, by the way. I apologise for intruding."
