He nodded and moved off towards the sleeping area, pausing in surprise as he looked at how the room had changed since he'd left. "N-no furs...not the s-sleeping den now?" a confused look on his face, the idea of food lost from his mind, just then. He'd eat in a moment.

Still he stepped closer to whatever it was in the middle of the room, peering at it more than a little curiously. The twins speaking had him turning to face them, surprise all over his face. "T-the egg made you t-think of me?" that was unexpected honestly, but he gave a sheepish smile. "I'm s-sorry I took so long coming home. I missed you b-both so much. Every day."

"You love things like this. You loved it when our foals were growing up," Echo started, as if she had something to prove- or argue- about the line of reasoning she and Cave Yell had come to. She stopped when her brother gently swished his tail against her.

"You're so good at taking care of others. You might not be the most proficient provider when it comes to gathering resources, but we're already hoarders. We don't need that." Cave Yell nodded as he settled down on one side of the little clay nest.

"You nurture, and you care, and you bring so much joy to the kin around you." "To us."

'Cho was the one to conclude their explanation. "So... if... you wanted, I figured we could see if this thing will hatch, and... and what it is, even."

'Cho seemed almost defensive, and close to angry, and it made Flawed wonder if he'd said the wrong thing. He'd just been wondering how an egg would make them think of him, but he held his ground even as she seemed ready to argue with, or maybe at him.

There was no arguments on the fact he wasn't the best at gathering, or hunting. He did his best, and he did his part, but it was true, he was better suited to watching over others, to caring for them and their well being. Sometimes to the detriment to his own due to lack of sleep, or just not remembering to eat depending on what had him busy.

"I'd like that." a nod of his head as he lowered himself down to inspect the egg curiously.

"I traveled...a l-lot. Never saw an egg like t-this. But...we can sure t-try." it wouldn't hurt to try after all.

Echo smiled. "All right, then. You get yourself comfortable, and I'll see about finding something good for you to eat."

He nuzzled at her neck with a quiet thanks, and did settle then, near Cave for the time being. He didn't know if this is where they'd sleep, but this was a good place to settle and rest for awhile anyhow.

"T-tell me everything that happened while I was away. B-both of you. Please?" well he was curious and it would be a good way to feel more in tune with home now that he was back.

Though, Flawed would end up falling asleep where he was after eating. It was inevitable being warm, full, and comfortable there with the twins.
