"Oh, of course!" Celery stopped, looking at the berry bush ahead of her.

"But I could show you, too. Pick a few of these so we can attract them?" She looked around for a good place, then scratched out a divot in the dirt, and curled herself around it. Already, a few of the figures rustling in the trees started to turn.

"These are Fairy Dragons-- we actually named this place after them-- we call it the Fairy Zone. They live in a colony here, though they have relatives that live somewhere out towards the coast, too..."

Stargarden leaned down to pick a few berries from the bush but when he pulled his head up with a few berries in his mouth, a small branch with some berries was caught in his crown of horns. He stood there with the berries in his mouth with an expression that said he'd done a good job but he just looked goofy as a few leaves stuck out between his horns with a couple of berries dangling.

Stargardened followed the acha, listening to her as she spoke. He loved a good story.

"I wonder if I've met their relatives," he said, visually imagining a flying foxbun in his head.

Celery smiled, plucking the branch from his horns and letting him deposit his little bounty as she separated the berries from their branch, piling them in the divot while sheltering it with her body. "They're very free spirits-- they eat a mix of mushrooms, fruits, eggs, small animals, and insects, mostly. They have a particular liking for fireflies, I think... though given how some of them drool glow all the time, it can be hard to know for sure."

She stayed as she was, letting him bring more berries to her as first one, then another, of the little creatures began to alight on the ground, chirping inquisitively.

"They're particularly drawn towards things if they feel like they're missing out, or if they shouldn't be in something... so if I just stay here and try to protect this bounty from them... well. You'll see!"

Stargarden didn't say anything about the branch in his horns and he seemed happy to join in on the ritual. As the berries piled up, he noted the increased activity above. The berries did look like tasty berries, and he knew that they were from his experience earlier. It was no wonder that they had caught their attention!

"I also enjoy eating stars," he said, nodding his head encouragingly, waiting and watching to see what would happen.

This was... certainly a unique stag. Celery smiled as the critters around her started to shove at each other, stepping back to let them flock to the source of their interest.

"They get along well with their family, but not with other types of dragon. The leatherwings were the ones I was talking about earlier-- their wings are almost like if a bat's were scaled. They're quite handsome things!" She had to raise her voice over a couple excited shrieks, backing away to let them fight and fuss over the pile of treasures they'd gathered for the beasts, while the bushes around lay mostly untouched, except by a couple enterprising beasts too wise to join the fray.

Stargarden watched with excitement, his front legs lowering closer to the ground so he could get a better look. With his front legs lower and his back legs still standing, he looked like a cat that was ready to pounce. His tail flicked back and forth but he remained otherwise still as he watched. His head craned up to look at Celery, his ears perking to the sound of her voice as she talked about them some more.

"Family is important, I can relate to that," he said with a nod as he watched them, once again standing upright and proper. He appreciated that they felt similarly to him despite their obvious differences in species, and it increased his enjoyment watching with their newfound treasure them knowing those little details about them.

"Do the other ones like their family, too?" He asked.

Honestly, watching this strange buck with his affectation was... very wholesome. She smiled, once again speaking up to be heard over the din of excitement.

"I'm given to understand there's a countlessly-large colony of them living in a single cave system, so. I'd imagine they're like a single big family themselves," she answered.

Stargarden nodded his head, pleased about all of the newfound information he had learned.

"Do these ones live in a cave, too, then?" He asked as his eyes followed the shrieking creatures. They were very endearing.

Celery shook her head, smiling. "They live in the bushes and the trees, and on the cliffsides by the river. They seem particularly attached to the canopy, however." She gestured towards a spot in the dimming twilight where a tree's crown practically seethed with motion if one looked closely enough.

"That tree was killed by lightning, oh, ages ago, but its branches are never bare."

Stargarden looked at the tree, his eyes gazing up into the sky. He loved stargazing, and he smiled thinking about the night to come.

"The canopy is definitely where I'd chose to live, too. I can't see the sky from a cave!"

His eyes studied the tree, thinking about a night where the lightning would have struck it. It certainly seemed to be blessed to continue blooming its branches every year after that.
