[imgleft]https://matope-swamp.com/images/owlie/d ... uncert.png[/imgleft] It wasn't every day a buck found out the doe he'd bee keeping company with was expecting. It was kind of a quite the momentous occasion. babie. Adorable, clumsy, sweet little babies. It could have been frightening, depending on the buck, but Night was excited for it. He was eager to start a family.
And he was doubly eager to make sure those sweet babes had a leg up on life. Night wanted to find someone who could do him a blessing.

[imgright]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... ncert2.png[/imgright]The bright buck certainly looked peachy keen for his new family! But was he triply eager...for a snake to launch itself out of a tree onto his back? Because it did.

No he was not especially keen on that! It Night jump, bucking his back feet out as he gave a startled yelp of alarm. Something was on him. Something was on him!

Oh dear. The little snake hadn't meant to alarm him. It immediately moved to assure the buck it meant no harm.
Unfortunately, in snake terms, that meant slithering over to his neck instead. Maybe it could even make it far enough to pat his face.
With its tongue.
