[B] Terrors [Tidal Terror x Sleeping Terror]

Tidal Terror milled about, in an unusual mood. She felt ill. Heavy. Vulnerable. She could not figure out why. Something she ate? Drank? Sure, it was sometimes a risk to try some of the drinks at the sand bar, but she didn't think it could be this bad. Was Squeeze using too much salt water in? Perhaps there would be words to be had later...

The doe grumbled a bit. Part of her wished to laze about until it passed, but she had done that for much longer than she wished to admit, and still it persisted. And she couldn't tell anyone that she wasn't feeling well. It would have to pass eventually, she would just have to push through it.

Shame that she had to feel this way after getting lost with that soft buck again, the one she met at the festival of abundance a while ago...

[imgleft]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... ncert3.png[/imgleft]The springtime was finally beginning, a thing that made some Totoma begin to sweat under their wool- but for Sleeping Terror, it just filled her with wanderlust. Having only been introduced to The Ache later in her life, there was a lot left to explore in the swamp for her. But her old bones didn't have the energy and her brain didn't have the patience any time the weather was anything close to imperfect. Though the power of the swamp filled her veins with strength, it didn't seem to give her any more stamina.

So it was unusual for her to stray so close to the ocean, but hey, today was a good day for her. It was the kind of weather where a Totoma like her could still stand lounging in the sand under the sun without burning alive. Plus... she felt a calling. It was the hazy, daydream-like calling that so often accompanied her dreams nowadays. Ever since she'd started dreaming of the Obelisk, it felt like nothing in her life was simple anymore.

Surprisingly enough, though, the oceanside had its share of familiar faces.

It was the boisterous one, from the trip up- the one who had helped her slay the bear, as well. Tidal Terror. She rather enjoyed Tidal Terror, despite how different the two of them could be. A real yes-doe, that one. Strong and reliable. But in some regard she seemed... different from how she'd been on the mountain, even as their supplies were running thin and things were growing desperate. Given the circumstances, Sleeping Terror had her suspicions, despite not being the brightest flower in the patch...

"Good day," she called as she approached, though it was likely unneeded. No question the doe saw her coming. More than ever she was a plodding, ostentatious thing, seeming to shed a petal or two with every movement even in the best of times. "Getting bitten by the heat bug yet?" Or maybe a different bug, but she wouldn't be quite so presumptuous.

"Ah! Sleeping Terror! It has been some time. Well-met!" As out of it as she felt, the totoma couldn't help but perk up at seeing the elder. A little concerning to see her missing a horn, and Tidal Terror didn't remember Sleeping Terror's eyes glowing so before. The flowers were certainly new, but maybe she was carrying them somewhere?

"I have been fortunate to have lived in the swamp for enough seasons that the warm is not such a bother. But I do prefer being on the beach when I can; it isn't as boggy or as full of annoying bugs! And how are you faring these days?"
