The acha was animated, moving and gestured as he spoke to to the kio who only frowned in response.

"We shouldn't bother anyone! It is not our first time having children and it was fine last time without a blessing."

The acha gave an exasperated sigh. "There was no time last time. By the time we realised we were to be parents they came not long after."

His tone softened and he gave her a soft smile. "There is no harm in asking. Please, let me do this."

He flapped his wings, lazily, and hovered but knew that left was not currently an option. He was being pulled in another direction altogether and that meant that someone was in need of a blessing. It always had, quite literally, stopped him in his tracks as he was suddenly filled with a sense of direction that replaced true north with the expectant parent or parents as the case may be.

Either way, it had been awhile since he'd found himself tethered to a path and now that he was . . . He bid adieu to the sweet scent that he wanted to bury his entire being in and let his wings pick up momentum as he began to fly right. He wondered just who he would meet today, he already knew what it was that they wanted but it was always so interesting to meet new kin and expectant parents were always so different from one another. He wondered at what these parents would value, would desire. Another Legendary would have continued such thoughts but eventually the thoughts faded from his own mind as he continued onward. Thoughts never did stay too long or too coherent in his own head.

"We've already started the journey, I don't intend to stop you. I'm only pointing out that perhaps the blessings should go to those who need them more than us." The pair were still poised by the stream, the kio huffing from arguing - though it should be noted that while they argued, it was not an argument out of anger or malice and neither raised their voice or showed signs of anger at the other.

Overgrowth simply did not wish to make a fuss.

"I'm sure our children will be wonderful, just like the last lot," she continued when the acha gave no reply.

"I would benefit from the blessing. Our last children were safe and happy - but why risk it again when there is an option for us? The legendary will decide if we are worthy of a blessing, Overgrowth. If they deem it should go to another, they will do so." He pressed his forehead to hers and closed his eyes. "I just want to give them every chance possible at a healthy, happy life. That is all."

Travels tilted his head, confused, as the parents talked and he fluttered in midair. What was worthy? Was he not to give blessings to everyone?

The moth sunk down until it was before the two of them, antennae twitching, and then it was gone. Instead, before them, on his back like a strange upside down child, lay a stag, "you make me wonder if I have been doing this wrong." And there was really no doubt that he probably had since it had never come with instructions. He could have asked his mother but she was different than he was and he would never have been able to do it the same way she did. He didn't do much the same way anyone did, this couldn't be any different, could it?

He rolled up onto his side and then he stomach, though he made no effort to get up, "I think all kin are worthy of a blessing should they want one and even if they should not. It is like the Great Mushroom," he nodded, a wide smile on his lips, "you should probably not eat it but that doesn't mean you couldn't." (What that had to do with anything... what the Great Mushroom even was... they had asked for a blessing, not sense.)

"Should your children like mushrooms?" he wondered, suddenly, as he looked at the expectant parents. That was a most important question.

The two kin were a bit taken back at the sight of the moth as it spoke - but on their journey to find a blessing, they had been told that legendaries might come in many forms. Still, when he changed into his natural form, Overgrowth took a quick step back, an awkward smile upon her features. Over the Hill looked like he might have bowed were it not for the fact that the kiokote would scold him worse than any legendary could.

Instead, he offered explanation. "She did not mean anything by it," he shuffled awkwardly - could legendaries give the opposite of blessings? "She just doesn't want anyone making a fuss over her."

Overgrowth had opened her mouth to respond - she wasn't as concerned about his reaction as the acha was, but she still didn't like that she may have been intentionally rude - when he asked his question and she paused, thinking for a moment.

"I think they should like them very much. Some of them can be quite tasty."

Travels thumped his tail in the dirt as he nodded at the response, "Very good! Let us have children that are healthy and unafraid of asking for help, that like mushrooms and new food ideas, but who value kindness above all else." He hummed lightly as the words hung in the air before nodding, satisfied that it would cover most bases.

"How is that, my friends?"

Overgrowth gave a soft smile and a nod in response. "Thank you for your kindness." While she did not wish to have a fuss made about her, she was still relieved that her children had been blessed.

Over the Hill was beaming and he might have tackled the buck in joy had he not been able to restrain himself. "Oh thank you. You have no idea how grateful I am - we are. If you ever need anything, please, seek us out."

The kiokote cleared her throat and the acha restrained himself "Ahem. Truly, thank you."

Travels wondered what it was he could ever needed but nodded before remembering the scent of jasmine he had so wanted to inhale. Without a word, he transformed once more into a giant moth and fluttered off on the breeze.
