That feeling wasn’t likely to change anytime soon but as she lay there, eyes half open, she did notice something new, something to rose her quickly.
There hadn’t been a foxbun when they’d fallen asleep but there was certainly one there now. Oh!It was cute! Chatter shifted in order to poke the soft fur gently with her nose and then looked for Squirrel’s head somewhere in the curl of tails to share the excitement.
But her beloved mate was still fast asleep and she couldn’t bear to wake her.
However when Chatter looked back at the foxbun, it had awoken from her touch and how strange - its
eyes. They glowed so bright!
“Hello little bun,” Chatter whispered softly as the foxbun wriggled out of the fluff pile. The foxbun responded with - Chatter was absolutely certain about this and would swear it was true - a playful wink.
“Oh,” she said, watching curiously as it approached Squirrel and placed a paw gently against her lovely grey cheek. There was a quiet moment, a pause that felt weighted with love before the foxbun slowly eased away.
“Wait,” she whispered but the foxbun was already hopping away out of sight and to follow Chatter would need to rise. Instead she dropped her head back to the ground and listened to Squirrel’s deep, even breathing. She would wait for the other to awaken and then there would be an interesting story to tell!

Peep left them curled together and transformed back into her Acha form far from sight. She hadn’t uttered the words but the MotherFather would always hear a blessing regardless of how it was given.
A blessing for a lifetime warmth and love, though she from the short time she had spent there, Peep didn’t think those children would need it.
