Why are you being chased out of a bar/town/house?

Sparkling Sunrise yelped as she tumbled backwards out of the door. One arm was clinging to her spellbook and the other was flailing for something she could grab onto before she hit the dirt. The commotion from the tavern nearly drowned out the cook who was screaming at her from the stoop. "I don't know what sort of bullshit you're up to but don't you ever darken this doorstep again, girl! Take that magic nonsense somewhere else!" he shouted, arm pointing at her furiously as he stood in the doorway.

The young woman quickly clambered to her feet and took a few steps towards the man. "I'm so sorry! I had no idea what was on the scroll!" she called out to the cook. He held out his hand to her once again, eyes wild. "Don't you dare take another step, girl!" he called. Now that she was out of the establishment, his attention was divided between keeping her out and assessing the situation inside. The yelling and screaming seemed to have died down a bit, but was replaced with confused yelling. Sparkling Sunrise managed a peek at the scene under the man's arm leaned against the doorframe.

The tables and chairs were overturned as if the place erupted into a bar fight. The few pieces of still upright furniture were held down by terrified people standing atop them, looking to the floor with wide, fearful eyes. Plates and bowls littered the floor, some still intact, thankfully. Before her vision was obstructed again, the objects of the upheaval toddled past the door. A half-eaten piece of bread, now awakened and grumbling, lead an apple and some cheese slices along the perimeter of the room. The cook seemed to notice them before they made it past, and the sight renewed his anger at the mage.

"Get! Out!" he screamed at Sparkling Sunrise. She brushed off her robes and held up her free hand. "I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry! The food will go back to normal soon, I think! I didn't know the spell was Animate Objects! I'm so sorry!" The cook did not seem convinced. Before he could continue his onslaught, a younger man with an apron on, holding a tray at his side, pulled at his sleeve. "What?!" he shouted at his associate. "Boss, they're all wanting refunds over the," the younger man started, continuing as he glanced at Sparkling Sunrise, "Situation."

Sparkling Sunrise did not wait around to hear the cook erupt all over again. Surely there was another tavern that had a vacant room.

2.The moment you decided to become an adventurer.

A warm laugh, kind smiling eyes...strong but careful hands as they hugged him. These were memories he'd carry with him forever. The loss of the one he cared about would never leave him. Had marked him. He had never wanted to be a hero but after their home was destroyed, and his life lost...well he had to pick up weaponry again. Return to the life he'd left behind. He had to avenge. And he had to protect those who needed it. He would want that.

9. It's an escort mission.

Hero hated escort missions. They almost always ended up in an ambush somewhere along the way. At least in his experience they did. Still he took on the mission because he needed the coin. Wasn't that the way it always went? Needs must and all that right? Sadly so.
