Wayward Son keeps his eyes trained on the locals and their settlement as he and Whispers of Death walk past, making sure to be prepared if any of them approached. Without looking at her, he responds to her question, "Not any more dangerous than your run of the mill kin. But if they group together, then they're a threat. Hate and fear are strong motivators and tend to steal away all logic and common sense. Once they get it in their heads that you're their enemy, then no amount of trying to talk them down will get them to leave you alone."

His cheetah familiar tails behind them, often darting off into the distance to catch itself a little snack, but always coming back to continue traveling behind them.

It doesn't take long for them to pass that settlement when they continue walk northwest, hugging the strip of land where the plains meets the swamp, with their destination bringing them closer to the foot of the mountain range.
