Which was a horribly embarrassing trait for a child of Watch Me to possess. At least this doe seemed nice and her laughter didn’t seem at all derisive. The grin that she gave him even made him smile shyly back and forget for a second how awkward he was.

“Y-yeah, I agree- well, I guess bugs are okay sometimes but only if you want to eat bugs. Not if you’re wanting to eat something else and get a bug with it instead. If you're not ready for it, the squishy crunch is very unpleasant. But sometimes I'll eat a big beetle or two.” Did that sound weird? Probably.

When he gave him that suspicious little look, the Kiokote couldn’t help but laugh, though he partially tried to smother it and ended up making a funny sound out of his nose instead. “No, it’s... it’s not a bug,” he stammered, with more blushing. “It’s this one here.” He pointed his nose at the segments of yellow fruit that had been laid out.

A fly chose that moment to buzz around and Almost There turned, using his tail to shoo it away. Oh! That was much less exhausting then the palm leaf.

Quickly he guzzled the juice down his throat and stepped backwards in defense as he needed to see who it was. He had an idea who it was from hearing the familiar voice but he had to check just in case it was an impostor.

Surely seeing her standing in front of him, he was not surprised to not hear her come close to him from the loud noises the others were making at this gathering. "It's you," he said with a relieved notation, drooping his tail low and relaxed. He knew it was one of Watch Me's offspring. This one was rather on the quiet side, less talkative as the others, and he did not mind her company at all.

"The juice...it's really sweet... I don't remember us gathering these...Have you tried some yet...?" he responded, rather brotherly than his usual snappy grumpy self.

Her ears perked up slightly when he mentioned sweet and she peered into the coconut cups that contained the carefully hoof-pressed juice. “No I haven’t yet. It’s sweet, you say?” She did have a bit of a weakness for sugar.

Seclusion figured she had best try it now before it was all gone or got too hot in the sun and took a sip. It was indeed very sweet, almost tooth achingly so. “Oh, it’s nice,” she said, pleasantly surprised. “I think the Sand Bar harvested the fruit from the area.”

Nodding along as she spoke, he watched the slim acha until she started to drink the juice, and looked away. He needn't to watch her for so long since there really aren't any predators about in this area.

Remember sighed and stared into the distance where the rowdy kin were dancing around the fire having a blast... How is that enjoyable? he thought, and just ignored them once more.

"The Sand Bar you say? I have never heard of that tribe. Have you seen them before?" he asked curiously. He simply needed to know since their loud obnoxious members seemed to get along so well with the other strangers. He needed to know because he didn't want this acha to switch sides and leave them.

“Well, the first time I heard of them was when father announced our little joint gathering. Surely you recall how he wouldn’t stop going on about Parrot Head and her tribe. I’d seen her visiting once or twice as well.” To be fair, nobody could pay attention to everything Watch Me ever said.

The juice really was very nice and she sampled another flavour. Oh, this one was tangy!

“They all seem nice enough and were very good with setting up while most of us lounged around, so I’m grateful.” She looked out across the beach, where the water lapped peacefully against the shore. “It’s nice here, I suppose."

Not sure how to react with the information given, he simply raised a curious eyebrow at her. "He sure is a busy father..."

The buck tried a different cup of juice, this time, a darker yellow, which was less sweet and more citrus tasting.

"i am glad no one got hurt," he told her, looking in the direction where she was looking at, and continued on. "Hopefully the clean up won't be so bad. If you need me, I can come help." A small short smile was on his face and it disappeared almost instantly.

It wasn't even an offer to help. He knew that there will be stuff floating in the water that he will need to clean up later. He can't let the tribe's reputation be tainted with waste. He will dive into the water to clean if he had to.

"Besides. You are not as loud as THOSE one over there..." he complimented her with a confident content nod.

Calling Watch Me busy was an understatement. However, he was only ever busy doing things he wanted to do and then delegated all of the hard work to everyone else.

“Oh,” Seclusion laughed, a ‘ha ha ha’, when he suggested she might need help cleaning. “Oh no, I won’t be doing any of it. I’ve done more than enough already.” Even so, she smiled back at him gratefully. “But I’m sure Prize will be looking for helping hooves, so be wary.”

She looked over at that particularly loud group of kin. They seemed to be having a dance-off on the sand. “And neither are you, thankfully. I find it all very tiresome.”

Though, if I’m honest, I’m not too keen on trying some new ones any time soon.” Almost There’s willingness to keep the conversation only brightened Memories’s already cheery mood. Her smile couldn’t possibly get any bigger. And yet, it somehow managed to at the sound of his muffled laugh and she couldn’t help but laugh in return.

And just as she was about to pick out her piece of pineapple, the fly made its move. She stood there, mouth hanging open as she watched the bug make a beeline straight for the pineapple before Almost There heroically stepped in and swatted it away.

“I can see why this is your job. You’re a pro!” And with the food not currently under threat of fly attack, Memories snatched up a slice of the unfamiliar fruit and chowed down. Her eyes sparkled as she experienced this completely new taste, licking her chops as she finished the slice. “It’s so sweet*!”

In all fairness, Remember himself had never really seen Watch Me actually doing any work or if he was around at all. he just assumed his leader was around when the others were practising their gigs and setting up their stage...

He blinked at her in surprise. "Wait....you don't have to help clean?" Now he has gotten a bit interested in her.  "How...did you manage to wiggle yourself out of that?"

So many questions started to pop up in his mind all at once. It has been such a long time that something fascinating has caught his full on attention. His mind told him to ask more questions, but his common sense said to him not to invade on her private life... Clearing his throat, he decided to just take it slow.

"I agree with you whole-fully. You would need so much more energy to keep up with it... "  He paused, and caught his own silliness. "But then again, we are the Royal Rainbow Troupe. Most of us have a lot of energy within us, and used in different ways..." he looked at her shaking his head at his own foolish remark. "By the way, my name is Remember." The grumpiest one in the group, he said out loud in his mind.
