Their whole life, art was their sole mission
Visions wrought into fruition
[left-indent]But art and life both end
And death came for our friend -[/left-indent]
Now, their body is de composition!

http://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/image ... uncert.png[/imgright]He stalks the border of his tribe's territory, on the hunt for intruders. The night is long, and danger, he knows, comes in many forms, and he must protect his family from it. When did his watch begin? He couldn't remember. Come to think of it, he couldn't remember when it was supposed to end, either. He assumes someone will relieve him eventually, and he can rest. But noone comes, and the night is so long. He wants to rest, he wants so badly to rest, but to forego his duty would spell doom for his tribeskin, his family, he knows. Dangers are many, and the night they move in is so long, and so dark. So he stalks, he walks, he races, he paces, around and around the border of their land, endlessly, endlessly. He watches the border, ever vigilant. The night is so, so long.
Hot Blood

http://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/image ... uncert.png[/imgright]You dare to violate the sanctity of the hive, charging in to reap the fruits of our labor, and perhaps our childrens' lives. We gather around you, buzzing angrily, and even as you gloat your superiority, you wonder why we do not sting.
Oh, no, it's not just you - it
is getting hotter.
Far too late, you realize that, while you know enough of our ways to enter our hive, we know enough about
you to exploit a small weakness; that you can survive only the
barest breath less heat than us. Our crowding and agitation heat us, heat you - and you boil alive in your own carapace, becoming nothing more than just so much trash for us to haul away.
All Of Me

http://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/image ... uncert.png[/imgright]I give to you a tender word,
An hour's warmth as dawn draws near
A laugh that's brief, but often heard -
Each sound, each touch, is for you, dear.
I give to you a winning smile
And all its kith, each smirk and grin.
I give you, too, each charm and guile -
My sweetest moods, and more again.
I give you my two kindly eyes,
I give you my two patient ears,
Whether first dances or cries,
Whether last hears joy or tears.
Each gift itself is small, but, see -
My love, I give you all of me.
