Biter's first memory... She never did like being asked questions. Anytime someone tried to engage with the young Totoma, she always rebuffed them, refusing to answer. Questions about her mixed heritage, her dripping body, her softly glowing eye, all ignored. She grit her teeth and would rather solve her problems with violence than words, butting heads literally with those who bothered her. But one day, a very persistent Totoma tried to get her to answer them, backing her into a corner where she had no choice. Either answer, or be attacked again.
And she chose to bite her tongue. Biter's other memories... [Other RP links]

Crusher's first memory... He left the mountains to return to the heart of the swamp, making his home among the swampy caves and warm forests. He never did much care for the ways of other Totoma with their warring rage, preferring learning medicine and mysticism from his new friends. The bugs he crushed underhoof made good components to his poultices and remedies, and when found by those who knew him, they mocked it and called him Cicada-Crusher. He didn't mind. Rare is... searching for inspiration. Rare is a kimeti who has searched for inspiration for a long time, unable to break out of his grounded, realistic view of the world in order to find it. He's pessimistic, and does not often believe things will go his way. A bit of a loner, and occasionally hot-tempered, Well Done is the only one who has managed to break through his shell into his softer, more artistic side.

Spoiler
Their first meeting was not a friendly one.
Well Done, deeply wounded from a fall and reeking of blood, found Rare by accident, or in his eyes, by miracle. Rare, sleeping soundly until he was rudely awakened, did not regard the kiokote with the same fondness. Still, Rare was not inherently vicious. When Well Done signed into the dirt for help, the kimeti obliged, and tended to his wounds.
The kiokote stayed by his side through the night, then through dawn, then through the afternoon. Rare was incredulous, then uncomfortable, then annoyed.
Too polite to tell him to leave, Rare tried to shake him. He tried running when the kiokote wasn't paying attention, dazzled by flowers or birds. Well Done always found him, and fast. Every time, the kiokote would give him a big smile, shaking with glee, as if he was winning at some sort of game they were playing.
Rare eventually gave in. Running from Well Done felt like running from a baby animal, and it didn't sit right in his gut. Well Done had his uses, anyways. The kiokote brought him food and flowers, like gifts for no particular reason. And in the winter, he was a warm body to keep by his side, Rare told himself. Well Done became a precious comfort to Rare, and eventually a necessity.
Well Done was like the sun, a great yellow ball of energy. Stunning, sparkling, full of light, he made the kimeti excited for every new morning. Rare kept Well Done close, keeping him from the dangers he so easily found himself in. It wasn't long before Rare realized the feeling gripping him was not simple concern for a begrudging friend, but love. He loved Well Done.
They were inseparable, and spent long days and dark nights together. Rare scratched drawings and half-formed messages in the dirt, only to kick over them before Well Done could see. Nothing he did ever was good enough, and besides he was certain his affection would be one-sided. Still, he wanted to make his feelings known. One night as they laid together, he wrote to Well Done. The kiokote's face brightened upon reading the symbols, and kissed him, because he loved Rare too.
