She looked around her and there was no one, only the desolate desert. But the voices were still there. They told her many things, many secret things. Some were great and other small, some despairing and other hopeful. They were all, however, were thrown up on a prayer, a plea, wishes that will forever be untold.

The world around him was hued in browns, each object and being gently melding into the next. To his hooves he rose, walking on unsteady legs forward, always forward. And his motion continued, the world around him began to fall apart. Each layer of every working thing fell apart by it's layers, revealing to him how they worked, how everything worked. He marveled at each piece, wanting to stop and learn, but he just kept moving forward. He always moves forward, forever in motion.

She knew, could sense, they were waiting on her, but she didn't answer, didn't move. They were growing impatient, ornery. Just one peep from her would be enough to settle the crowd. Yet she made not a sound. She spoke not one word.
