Leaves blow softly in the wind, shuffling across the branches without care. A buck below finds himself coming face to face with the mango before it continues toward the floor of the swamp. I lay on the floor as he walks away, longing for the safety of the tree once more.

Blue and white.
Seagulls call.

High above the cloud line, rays of bright light shined down softly on the world below, warming the life of the world and bringing hope to the darkness.

Strong.

Dirt.

Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wish you weren't so far!
Up above the deep blue sky,
Some night may I get so high?

Heavy hooves carried through the swamp until they reached a twisting tree. Hundreds of eyes watched as the creature stopped short of the tree. No one seemed to understand, and the heavy hooves began knocking against the tree.

"May I?" The voice asked once but never more.

The eyes came out of the darkness to form hundreds of crows, and they swarmed until the hooves were no longer seen.

Cold and dark surrounds
Struggling to breathe deeply
Once more with feeling

The darkness covered the swamp as hooves carefully struggled to find footing. Suddenly, there was a thud. Embarrassment practically lit their way now as they watched where they stepped.
