[blessing] In the light of the spirit moon

This was her third clutch and the season was starting to cool and things were starting to come out of the swamp. She had clutched in this season before, and she remembered the struggle of a new parent raising foals in the raining season. Perhaps some of it had been that she was new to raising foals but this time... she was seeking out a bit of help.
To ask for a bit of luck to better able to find food and shelter when the swamp became clinging mud and rain fell in sheets and obscured her vision and made it so much more difficult.
And such she walked, confidently into the dusk of the twilight hours. It was her time and the time of change and it seemed like the time to find legendries for a blessing if they would so obliged her.

http://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/image ... ncert3.png[/imgleft] The lion was not a form Peep took often but as dusk settled in, her eyesight in the large feline form was much better than that of the foxbun and so she shifted. Pacing the upcoming darkness like this made her feel powerful and strong, filling her senses with so many smells and sounds that she was unused to.
The scents were no longer just friend or danger - they were prey and competition.
Kin fit neither of those categories. They were different. And one in particular, whose scent she had breathed in deeply, was most certainly pregnant and in need of her aid. And so Peep travelled towards her, seeing through the gloom as though it was daylight.
She padded on heavy paws at a lope until she found her quarry and then she stopped, mindful of the form she held, shifting swiftly into her Acha form and calling,
“Hello there!”

She startled slightly before calming down as the doe took shape, giving a graceful if relieved nod of her head. "Welcome, thank you for being willing to meet with me on this night." Scrape paused, looking the legendary down. "Your lion form makes you seem much more fearsome ." She mused, thoughtful. "Do you see as well as the cats do, in the night?" She questioned, curious.
It wasn't everyday you could question someone on how an animal could see at night.

It wasn't everyday someone asked her such a direct question about her animal form and Peep was delighted to answer.
"Yes, I do!" She replied, pleased. "The other forms we take influence us in many ways - I am bolder as a lion and more timid as a foxbun. And you're very welcome. It's my pleasure to meet you. I am Peep."

Scrape paused taking in the others words before letting herself run away with questions. "Lion and fox bun? You were blessed twice, how wonerful! Peep? Aren't you in charge of the Motherhood? I'm surprised I warranted your attention and are you soft as a foxbun? They always look so soft... and do you have a mane as a lion or not? Its so very nice to meet you Peep! Ooh I'm Scrape!" She added, slightly flustered and just so excited. "You are so pretty!"

Peep waited patiently through the onslaught of questions, like an indulgent mother enjoying her child's excitement. As Scrape ended her with her last flustered exclamation, she laughed gently and answered, trying not to miss anything.
“I
was blessed twice and I am the creator of The Mothers Club, so I suppose that makes me in charge of Motherhood in a way. I’m honoured that you’ve heard of me. And yes, I am very soft as a foxbun,” she chuckled. “I’ll let you feel in a moment. No, I don’t have a mane. And of course, it’s a pleasure, Scrape. You are also very pretty.”
She grinned.
“And I think perhaps you might know why I’m here.”

She giggled slightly. "Thank you. I couldn't remember it right." She shifted back and forth on her hooves, eyes bright and gleaming. "Thank you very much." Scrape loved her fur color, soft and gentle and pink, comforting until the splash of stark white and vivid blood over her cheek, her neck, her ribs. It could be off putting to some people... so it was nice to get complimented.
"Yes. I think I do." She sighed, holding the promise of getting to touch the foxbun fur later. "A blessing, if you would? This.. isn't my first clutch, not even in the later seasons and I am no longer a new mother but this and later seasons can be hard to raise foals..." And that what she was looking to, raising her children during the leaner times as the winter loom ahead.

Peep nodded sympathetically.
“The Mothers Club takes in many parents and foals during the winter month when finding food is difficult and the nights are long. Especially with that strange snow we had during summer, some are worried this cold season will be especially rough.” Her brow furrowed with her concern for all those who might suffer.
“You are welcome to return with me to the club or visit any time, should you find yourself struggling. But in the meantime, I can certainly bless your children. With good health and resilience to help them through even the harshest of times.”

"Thank you, if we need help, I'll be sure to come and find you." She said softly. It.. helped knowing she had the option to turn to others if needed but she would only come if they truly needed help.
"Thank you, your blessing is appreciated so much," Scrape said, looking up at Peep. "It, means a lot to me. To know they have a blessing to allow them to thrive."

“It was my pleasure.” And it truly was. This was the moment she lived for, seeing the relief in the eyes of a parent, knowing that they and their children had some small blessing to help in the future.
“And now, I have a promise to keep,” she said with a laugh and shifted into a foxbun.
In this small and fluffier form, she hopped closer to Scrape, reaching her paws out to touch the other. Her nose wrinkled in a smile and she waited to show off just how soft her fur was.

Scrape paused and grinned, leaning down to get a closer at the small foxbun. "You are beautiful," she said softly, as small paws touched her and ooh, she was just sooo soo soft. "And so soft."
@Ruriska
Thank you so much!
