As The Crow Flies [In Harmony x Grim Grinning Ghosts]

But she was receiving a crash course at the moment as she trudged through the swamp, listening closely for the throaty cry of a creature she'd never see before. About a day before, she'd spied it; a black bird, angular in shape, deep in color with a song that was slightly raspy. She'd watched it, deeply interested in this new creature as it hopped around, pecked at the ground, sat in the trees, and basically lived its life.

The doe had tried to entice the creature. Calling to it, trying to learn it's call even though the sounds it made made her throat burn a bit, left out food for it, but the bird basically ignored her. She wouldn't admit it, but she'd gotten a little depressed at not being able to communicate with it. Or if she'd had been understood, she was flat out being ignored.

When the bird took flight, she'd only meant to follow for a short time, hoping to run into others like it. But her curiosity to learn more, to find more, over-rode her naturally cautious nature and before she knew it, she was far beyond her own part of the swamp.

"Haaaa..." she sighed loudly, getting weary of the chase.
