[imgright]http://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/image ... uncert.png[/imgright] The days were getting longer, again, and the ice was thinning. Things were getting soft and sludgy, but new growth seemed to elude Fathomless' notice. Maybe she was just bad at finding it-- her near-complete blindness didn't make things easier for her out here, but between eating bark and leaves and digging up roots, she was more or less finding enough to eat, even though the hunger stilled gnawed.
Still... she was struggling, and a lifetime of knowing when to ask for help had always served her well. The doe sighed, turning to walk towards the nearest group of kin she could recall-- some sort of club or tribe or whatever.
Perhaps she could join them, for a time? Unless they required membership to stay on, in which case she'd have to try forging out- heh- blindly.

Re: [B] Unimagined (Fathomless x Sleeping Terror)
[imgleft]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... uncert.png[/imgleft]She was a slow, lumbering thing in her kin form. Hard to miss, even if you were blind.
Despite the lack of greenery that sprouted from the ground below, the weight on Terror's shoulders was in full bloom as she plodded along. Of course, she'd seen their visitor from quite a distance, but she seemed in no hurry to catch up to her just yet. The totoma had some sort of instinct inside her that made her doubt this doe, in particular, was a threat- not to mention she was fairly familiar with zikwa, and they rarely were in the first place.
Still, it was doubtless that the kin probably heard her coming from a mile away. Which, though still a fair distance from her, she immediately made certainty with a very legendary bark of, "Hey. Whaddaya doing over there?"
Look, she was new to the swamp magic thing. Give her some time.

Re: [B] Unimagined (Fathomless x Sleeping Terror)
Fathomless froze in place as she heard the sharp voice of authority beckon her attention. What was she doing... over where? She was fairly certain this was a public trail... She turned to face the individual who'd barked for her attention, tilting her head to let her hair fall away from her one good eye, and squinting until the figure before her came into focus.
"Um. I'd... I'd been under the impression that there was a group of kin that lived nearby?" Was that the right thing to say? Was she even heading in the the right direction? She just didn't know.

Re: [B] Unimagined (Fathomless x Sleeping Terror)
Terror paused to think of how to react for a moment. "Well... yeah." She could not deny that there was, in fact, a group of kin that lived nearby. "It's not like I crossed the desert and climbed the mountains and crashed over the rivers just to ask you why you're here. Kin live here." Though she was speaking, she hadn't halted her slow approach the whole time, not too fussed about keeping her distance.
"That's why I'm here to make sure the wrong kin can't get in, though it's not like our standards are high." The standards being 'not there explicitly to trash the place,' of course. After all, even non-expectant kin were theoretically welcome if they were interested in helping out.

Re: [B] Unimagined (Fathomless x Sleeping Terror)
Ah! She'd met a guard of some kind. Fathomless mustered up the best smile she could as the stranger approached her, trying to tuck away her doubt and exhaustion.
"I'll be honest- I'm tired, I'm hungry, and I'm kind of on my own right now. I came here looking for some advice, and since I knew there were kin here, this seemed as good a place as any to start?" She smiled a little. "I'm struggling a bit on where to find food, what a good place to rest looks like, where to avoid, and... maybe advice. Or directions." That couldn't be a wrong answer, could it?
