Algae Bloom had never really been lonely before, he was a solitary creature, preferring the comfort of his home to the comfort of other kin. He had spent most of his years quietly observing and tending to the slimy plants that grew in his stagnant little lagoon. He would spend hours just staring and watching the swirling, slow but everchanging watery garden. He had become so familliar with his area of the swamp that it was not easy for anything to pass through without his noticing, however recently something had been eluding him. The tracks and scent were undeniable, this was a creature he had never seen before but despite his best efforts he had not yet managed to catch a glimpse of it, whatever it was it was sneaky and fast.
