Fish Bones and Ginger Root had been trying off an on for ages to have children. He was almost starting to worry maybe he was too old. And then Ginger Root started to display some signs of expecting. Still, he did not want to get her hopes up.

So waiting until Ginger Root is sleeping, Fish Bones goes a short distance into the woods. He can easily say he is searching for eggs if she wakes before he finishes. And if not, then he can search for eggs anyway. Eggs are a good source of nutrients, and very tasty at that.

Finding just the right spot, Fish Bones calms his nerves. He's never done this for himself before, and is only mostly sure it will work. May our children be happy and healthy. he thinks.

Is that enough? Maybe he should speak the words, just in case. "Our children will be happy, and healthy."

Task completed and full of nervs, Fish Bones spends some time gathering eggs before returning to the still sleeping Ginger Root.
