[B] Well huh (Leaf Nose x Sleeping Terror)

Leaf Nose wasn't sure how this all happened. Well she knew how it happened but wasn't expecting this result. Of course she knew that ending up with foals was a possibility but well. The doe had little experience with this thing and needed someone, anyone, to talk to about it.

[imgright]https://matope.pixel-blueberry.com/imag ... ncert3.png[/imgright]Sleeping Terror would have liked to spend the summer dozing off in sunbeams in flower fields, like usual. The seasonal heat in the swamp was unbearable at times for an old Totoma like herself, and she was not excited about things like "moving around" or "exercising" or "doing work." But there were problems with that.

Mostly that as inconspicuous as her flower-covered back was amongst the fields, she was a massive thing, even at rest. Like someone had just gone ahead and plonked a massive boulder off of one of the mountains right in the middle of a meadow, and the flowers had just started growing over it. And that meant that if anyone was looking to find her, or even particularly curious... she was not that hard to find.

Waking her up and staying in her good graces, that would be a different story.

As Leaf Nose walked lost in thought, she hadn't been aware of how far she had been walking. She'd come to a meadow with ... what was that in the middle? A bolder, no there couldn't be something like that here. The flowers on it were also a bit off and larger than normal. Oh, it moved slightly? OH, she realized it must have been a legendary kin. She'd heard of them before but never had seen one before in her life. Stories she had heard reminded that one like this could help her in her predicament. The doe changed her walking direction and started in the way of the other kin.

All good things must come to an end, she supposed...

She was stirred from her sleep by the deeper instinct inside herself that had arose with her ascension, the sense of being called into action by the swamp once more. It was not a sense she particularly cared to have, especially when it was keeping her from getting her rest. Sleeping Terror shook her head vigorously as she awoke, then her whole body as she pulled herself to her hooves, shedding a cloud of old petals like a magnolia tree around her as she did.

So she turned towards the approaching kin, standing her ground but tipping her head a bit. It was a Kimeti, although... not one she recognized. A strange-looking one, with a bat's nose. "What do you want?" She grumbled sleepily, as if she could possibly not know what a kin would want from her.

It was a sight to behold, seeing a cloud of petals fall from the totoma. The words of the other startled her, she was not expecting an almost grumpy response from a legendary. Leaf Nose took in the sight of the flowers and growth on the totoma, it was honestly amazing to see. The doe stepped closer but kept some distance as the stance of the other kin was just a bit off putting.

"Honorable legendary, I've heard stories of your kind ... easing the minds of ones in such a predicament as myself. I've come to ask for that".

Sleeping Terror snorted, though mostly in the 'i can tell you're not gonna like what i'm about to say' way. "Ease your mind. Well," she began, slowwwwly dipping back onto her knees and settling down as she did so. "It is a battle like any other. Some may have been born for it. They may find their calling in the danger, may find no reward quite worthwhile if it comes without struggle." Perhaps a metaphor more apt for Totoma, who may have been more likely to be injured over the course of pregnancy, but well. What could you do.

"For others it may simply be a source of pain they suffer because they feel it's their 'duty.' It depends on the kind of kin you are." She shook her head a bit. "But you'll never know the answer if you never take that leap first, will you?"

Leaf Nose listened intently to the legendaries words. Part of her was a bit upset that it didn't sounds as ... easy as she had hoped. But the other part of her was grateful that the other kin didn't hide anything from her about what may happen to her. "I ... Thank you, I do find some comfort in your words. You are right, I'll have to see where this path takes me then!"
