Adventure there. Always moving. Always laughing. Always, always, running. Now her life was one of shadows. She watched over him and his mate in the night.

She'd just finished hunting for the pair, leaving the food where they would see it upon waking so as not to forget to eat. They would both forget to eat ... Enough was enough. She was golden light– Bright and ruthless.

She was a force of nature.
Terrifying and gentle in one breath.

She was alone.

She was lonely.

She knew she needed to leave them. Leave him. They didn't even know she was there. It was by design because she didn't have the heart to face the love of her life and demand he love only her. It wasn't fair and it wasn't true to who he was.

So she watched. She fed. She cried.

Life was, if one took the matter seriously, exhilarating. While there could be a lifetime of toil, or boredom, or despair or any other negative emotion, there also led the possibility of a life of adventure and breathless, winded joy.

This was the creed that Neverland lived by, and it had always steered her true.

It was another such day, one where she barreled through the trees still clinging to the last of their falling leaves, turning up piles of their dry, crackling brethren as she chased today's whim.

It was simply not her fault that the next corner had been blind, with a large rise of dirt held up by a boulder and what must have been centuries of roots for a tree that had clearly fallen at least once, if the mess of trunks was anything to go by.

It would be her fault, however, if she didn't at least warn the doe she risked barreling into.

"Whoa-- watch out!!"
