He'd been told before that he was a bit of a romantic, that he wore his heart on his scale a d fell too deep, too quick. He supposed that must be true, because he's found himself quite smitten with a lovely doe with piercing silver eyes. Fall wasn't entirely sure if she felt the same, but she liked him enough that they were now expecting little ones.

It was Fall's first clutch, the buck was nervous, and clueless, but he's been told that it was a good idea to sell out something that had been touched by the Motherfather. That they could help insure the health of the babes.

Of course he'd do it.

So here he was, wandering along a creek that twisted through tall trees and thick roots. Looking for something, someone, he wasn't entirely sure how to find.

But they were both there, him wandering, her an enormous wasp, guarding one of the tall trees that he was about to pass beneath. Swarm moved along the branch, black and gold, her wings thrumming, looking down at the buck with that fathomless insect gaze.

Fall had heard the buzzing of bees and wasps before, many times, but usually at a safe distance, and not usually quite so...loud. He froze as that menacing sounding buzz of wings sounded above him, head lifting to spot the giant wasp up in the branches. "Oh, I..." He took a step backwards, and another. "I didn't mean to disturb your...hive?" Was there a hive up there that he couldn't see?

Did that even really matter?

No, it did not.

When the buzzing figure rose up to hiver towards him he swallowed a small sound of alarm, backing up a few steps. Not sure what to do.
