Just past the large glowing tree is a field with a pond, it's small but perfect all the same. Standing in front is Fisheye and on either side are her personal shuppies, Surge and Swell. Behind her are a number of other shuppies that you might recognize if you've been here in the previous years.
"Welcome to this year's festivities," she says in a stern yet friendly tone. "Strangeness will not stop us from celebrating the season."
"Shuppies are native to the beaches of The Crescent Bay, although you may have seen them scurrying around with some members of the tribe. They're quite fast, both in and out of the water, and so full of energy that we occasionally race them."
Behind her is a course that she's set up. It is very clearly set up to explore both the land and water terrain around the pond.
"I'm so pleased to be able to share our traditions with you again. Let's begin!"
Your entry will gain you one ticket toward an overall raffle at the end where the rest of the prizes will be given away. If you win the main race then your name will be removed from the raffle before rolling so others can win something!
"If you've been here for any of the previous years then you may remember these racers. If you've never been here before then allow me to go through our roaster," Fisheye says, politely ushering you over to them.
The Racers
Shuppy 1 has a scar over its right eye and a pink spot on its tummy.
Shuppy 2 is black with blue spots all over.
Shuppy 3 is grey and white. It's Swell!
Shuppy 4 is brown with spots. It's Surge!
Shuppy 5 is pink. It stands out.
Shuppy 6 is lime green with brown spots.
There will be 12 laps, and the shuppy that wins the most laps will be the champion.
