Shines-Bright

Cheerful with a bright disposition, Shines-Bright lives up to her name not simply in her ability to keep her coat very clean. It's not really because she tries. She is lucky that way, finding clean water to bathe in or finding places with enough leaf-clear sky to rinse off any dirt she might have picked up when the rains come. One thing is certain: she is always easy to find, even in the darkest night.

She has a tortoise familiar named Chomp.

Marshrush

Some might call Marshrush a little intimidating. He's simply direct. If he wants to know, he asks. If he disagrees, he says so. He is by no means cruel or unkind, but does often speak before he thinks.

Leaves-im-Twilight

Leaves-in-Twilight has never been quite of this world. Some say he never really left his Dream. He speaks to spirits, near constantly, and is hard pressed to hold a "real" conversation. Not dangerous to anyone except perhaps himself, he's occasionally consulted when someone has lost a beloved friend or relative. Night is his preferred time of day; he will always find the shadiest spot to sit while the sun is up.

He tends two familiars: A crane named Early, and an owlcat called Spiritchaser.

Eating Fireflies

EF has a bit of a hero complex--think Clark Kent/Superman when you think of him. Perfectly ordinary Kimeti when things are peaceful and quiet, but cause a commotion or find yourself in danger, and he'll be the first one to rush to the rescue.

Sweet Water

LOUD! That's the first thing that most -- well, anyone who can hear at all -- likely thinks about Sweet Water. He has no volume control. It's not conscious, it's just the way he is. And no, he's not deaf. He's just... LOUD.

For all that, he is a gentleman. He just doesn't understand why the girls always run away.

He has a crane familiar named Cordial.

Biting Dawn

Biting Dawn is an early riser. He is sharp as a tack, witty and constantly on the go the moment the first rays of sunlight make it through the trees. Conversely, that means that as the day goes on, he gets more tired (or more lazy, depending on your point of view). Any tasks or chores assigned to him should be given before midday. Afterward, they're likely to have to wait until tomorrow. Potentially amusing to talk to after sunset.

Walks with Wonder
(Wander)

Wander can find something amazing in nearly any situation. She's not naive, so much, as willing to see the good side far, far before she wants to consider the bad. Those who are tricksters or deceitful will be able to easily fool her. She doesn't forget, though, and she doesn't easily forgive

Seeks Another

Seeks Another has known since her naming dream that she was destined to find a true and loving mate one day. She loathes (and even fears) being alone, even for short periods of time, and makes friends quickly, easily considering even the briefest acquaintance important. Herd, harem, dedicated mate, she would (and will) take them all.

She has a foxbun companion called Looks Back.

Deliverance

Deliverance is a determined finder. Looking for the perfect place for a nap? She'll find it. The sweetest fronds? She'll lead you there. The best place to lure foxbuns out of hiding? She knows it. Looking for a mate, though? Don't ask her. Deliverance is painfully, terribly bad with males, despite her dreams of being whooshed off her hooves one day.

Beyond The Horizon

Some might call Horizon a worry wart, though it's often hard with him to know whether it's worry or anticipation that drives him. Inherently restless, he prefers the highest places in the swamp, those with clear lines of sight between and through the trees. Often the first to know a storm is coming, usually torn between intrigued and troubled by new events and/or arrivals. One day, he's certain, his instincts will lead him out of the swamp. For now, he'll wait and see what's coming.

Kiss of Life

She has a streak of mischief in her, and if a buck shows determined interest in her, she has been known to be just a little wicked and quite willing to tease. The flipside is that she has a very maternal streak and until her babies are ready to wander away, she is an excellent caretaker and fiercely protective.

Change Will Come

A commanding sort. Change has a herd out there somewhere, one he leaves in the care of one of his does when the urge to wander strikes him. He is confident, bordering on arrogant, and he laughs at those he thinks deserve it. He is, though, a fierce protector of those who are "his" and wildly jealous of any suitors who come for "his" girls. Rivals beware.

Twilight Sings

A deep thinker and studier of the swamp's mysteries. She's fond of ritual and tradition and is not the sort to wander far from home unless it's part of some ceremony. Friendly, clever, but not often sharp-tongued.

Things Unheard

Things Unheard takes the duty of guarding very seriously. His father is often distracted by the voices he hears and listens to. When he's deep in trances, for want of a better word, anything or anyone could stumble upon him and he might be too slow to react. That's why he needs a guardians. That's why Things Unheard stands watchh. To protect him.

And if, along the way, he learns a thing or two about the whispers he's heard all his life but never confessed, well. So much the better.
