Follow the Voices was excited. Nervous. Excitedly nervous...nervously excited? Nervous-cited? Whatever he was that. So very that. One of the downsides to no vision was sometimes...he ate things he didn't know he was eating. Such as that pretty pink and blue flower that had tasted so very good...and left him in this very interesting situation. They'd raised kids before, those beautiful found eggs that somehow looked like the both of them, but this...this was different, and amazing and just... yes he was nervous, and excited and happy and a slight bundle of energy.

"Song!SongSongSongSong!!!!" he cried out to his mate having realized (finally) why he'd been feeling a little...weird recently. "Guess what!? No never mind. You'll never guess, because it's just so out of the ordinary, but amazing and just Ahhhhhhhhhh!" he cried out in happiness as he and Sniff made their way towards Song, a look of glee on his face.

"We're going to be parents! We need to go find one of those legendaries that roam the swamp, for a blessing you know? Make sure the kids'll be okay since I'm not s'posed to be able to do this, but clearly I am!" okay maybe he was a little hysterical too, because whaaaaat? but he was mostly excited. And nervous. So, soooo nervous.

While he was there most of the time, Song wasn't always present when it came time to eat food and he trusted Voices to eat things he knew, even if he couldn't see them, he could smell them or recognize the texture of them most of the time. He'd also done just fine on his own before they'd met. So he was never really worried when he wasn't right there next to his mate to ensure the proper food was eaten.

The bundle of energy that was his mate, as he came his way, was slightly out of the ordinary, however, and Song tipped his head just slightly. He was more than willing to try to play guess-what, but it seemed as though Voices had other plans in mind and it did make him chuckle just softly. That look of glee was just precious and he never tired of seeing it, not really.

That little bit of news, though, made him pause. He'd been about to say something when that had come out, and he blinked once or twice, "We're... what?"

A little incredulous, maybe, but now was not the time to stop and try to wrap his mind around it. Voices was clearly juuuuust a little hysterical and Song eased closer, just settling to his side with a soft hum, "if you're telling me that we're going to be parents, I'm going to take you to your word. I'm not really sure we'll have an easy time of finding a legendary, but I don't mind if we go looking for one."

Why not make sure his mate was comforted by the potential blessing? "Then, you'll have to give me more details, yes?"

Voices calmed once he was closer to Song, and he stayed close as he started to walk, no real destination in mind and explained more. He'd grown up in The Mothers Club, around Peep after all, so he knew about legendaries and what they could do and as they walked he told Song all about the things he remembered from when he was growing up. The interesting things he'd heard about.

He would continue to tell stories to Song as they walked, oblivious to the fact the sun was shifting positions in the sky. Or that there was a tall, pale Mare coming their way.

As she walked Guardian felt the tug that she was needing and she adjusted her course turning off a different direction. She wasn't sure how long she walked, enough that the sun had changed positions in the sky a little by the time she made out a few kin headed her way and a sand dog trotting along near by. She had a feeling she'd found who was looking for her.

Song was more than aware that his presence was like that magic switch, it was why he was more than fine with settling close, nearly flank to flank. That and it helped in steering his pair just a little. Not that it was needed, but he liked to ensure that no tripping happened, what better way, really?

He listened calmly to the stories he was being told, content to let Voices be the one to tell all those stories, really. He considered himself a fine story teller, himself, but now and again, it was nice to listen to someone else and, well, he was mightily biased but he loved listening to Voices, no matter what was being said.

At the sight of the pale Mare coming their way, Song slowed down just a little, head tipped somewhat. "I think we've made it to our destination, sweetheart."

Of course Song helped to calm him and ground him. Scent and sound could get overwhelming, but touch was soothing and grounding. He didn't know how Song managed sight! Taste was nice, yummy flowers, and berries and meat. Sometimes gross flavors, but he was pretty good at sniffing out the not so great stuff before he ate it so that didn't happen much.

With Song on one side and Sniff on the other it was easy to keep Voices headed in one direction and not zig-zagging through the swamp at least. He knew that Song liked to hear him tell stories, and he liked to tell him the ones he remembered growing up and being told. Plus ones he'd make up sometimes. He didn't think his were anywhere as good as his mates, but it was a good way for the both of them to practice and get better swapping their stories as they walked, or rested.

"Hmm?" he paused in the middle of what he'd been saying and lifted his head as if to look around a curious tone to him. "What makes you think that?"

Guardian noticed the acha's eyes slide right over her and realized quickly he was blind and gave a little smile as she kept her voice quiet so she didn't startle him more than she was sure she already would. "I think I'm why." and watching as he jerked back a half step she knew she'd been right in that she'd startle him, though not half as bad as she'd expected. "I get the feeling you two have need of me?"

His slowing had eased to a stop and he was glad when Voices didn't stray much further than he had. Not that he worried much about the Mare's reaction. He'd heard the stories, he knew well enough about kins who had ascended but no two were the same and while he wasn't wary, he was still mindful.

Song offered a slight smile to the Mare before he turned his attention to the buck at his side. He offered a slight nuzzle to the side of that neck. He was warm, calm and collected. Perhaps from what felt like ages spent travelling and telling stories to those he crossed. Meeting new kin wasn't out of the ordinary for him, though, to be fair, this was his first ascended kin.

"I believe our little ones will be well and strong because you are strong and wonderful, but I know that there is so much more for us to worry about. Let's hear about what's on your mind so that we may be even stronger for them ourselves, yes?" It made sense to him, in a way. He did truly believe that they would have been fine, but having just a little extra something from higher up would do them good, too.

Follow settled against Song and breathed a soft note of contentment as he angled himself towards the Mare he could hear but not see. "I don't have real worries, persay. Though my being the one carrying our children is...strange. I don't know how that happened and it's okay. I don't mind. I just hope that when all is said and done our children grow up to know happiness and love like I do, every single day. But also maybe they have a little more caution than I do. I may be blind but I know I don't always think before I act which in turn can upset Song." a sheepish laugh from him. "So yeah...happiness and love...and caution...and maybe patience. In case they find a mate who's a little more like me in the recklessness area than they may anticipate."

Guardian gave a warm chuckle listening to him speak and gave a nod. "All wonderful things. May the MotherFather bless your children with the ability to know when to be a little more cautious, and to be patient when it's called for, but most of all to always know love and happiness in their lives." She watched the acha settle contently against the kio, and it was to him she spoke.

"Your mate said he's unaware of how, and well I can tell he cannot see me so he can't answer me but it's entirely probable he ate a flower I've heard and seen in my travels..." and she proceeded to explain to the two of them about the pink and blue flower that seemed to be at the root of this ability for same sex kin to have children of their own. Spying one she picked it and brought it closer and laid it down for Follow the smell, and he perked up, and exclaimed he recognized that smell, it smelled really good, and had tasted better!

At least now the pair knew what to look for.

Bidding them both farewell, Guardian turned and headed on her way, even as she watched the Acha nibbling on the flower. She figured no harm done, he was already pregnant, and no sense in wasting the food.
