Here he was again.

Sure, he was a hero, (at least in his mind,) and by all rights, busy with life and keeping up with righting the wrong and keeping the peace, (mainly with his adult children, who were a mixture of chaos and goodness,) but he couldn't say no to a pretty face. The lovely lady in question was definitively a pretty face, but was new to motherhood, so he had told her that he would go forth to find one of the legendary kin, to ask for a quick blessing. It worked with his first pack of kids, therefore, he would try again.

With a mouthful of colourful feathers that he had collected from a few semi-willing feathered friends (it was molting season, at least,) he stood in what seemed like a pretty auspicious clearing, he placed the little parcel down, clearing his throat.

"Hello, I hope I'm not too much of a bother, just looking to see if I can find some luck for my future brood," he called out, shuffling around a hoof. It was a little strange just shouting into the wild, but, hopefully, he would get a response.

The swamp was a strange place indeed, for as huge as it was, when the buck called out, a response soon followed.

“I can help with that!” A dark kiokote had come thundering into the clearing, grinning from ear to ear. He skidded to a halt, puffing from his run, and after getting his breath back, greeted the other warmly.

“Good day to you! Would you care for a blessing?”
