[B] As the Sky Meets The Sun For The Sunset (Blessed Sky x Sun-Cursed)

Post by doomsayer »

It had been a long time since Blessed Sky visited his mother and father's mangrove den. It wasn't because he didn't like staying there, but when he and his brothers and sisters became old enough to fend for themselves and go out into the larger world, their mother's proclivity to travel and their father's drive to interact with other kin passed down to each of them and made them set out to lead lives of their own.

He arrived just before sunset. He knew his mother had "duties" to attend to as an ascended and that there was a chance that he would miss her if he didn't come around as soon as she would be waking up. Getting here before the sun came down guaranteed that he could at least catch her just before she felt the need to leave. As he neared the entry to the den, he saw his parents' constantly growing menagerie of pets and familiars. He fondly remembered some of the bigger and smarter ones accompanying him and his siblings when they played and hunted as they were growing up.

He ducked into the entryway and found his father with Grove Guardian in the middle of restocking the food supplies in the back. As they made eye contact, he greeted, "Hey Dad! Just passing by for a bit. Is mom still here? I need to talk to her." Smoldering Ember stopped what he was doing to welcome his son and touch horns with the young buck affectionately, then gestured to the shaded corner of the den where Sun-Cursed was just rising from her sleep.

[B] As the Sky Meets The Sun For The Sunset (Blessed Sky x Sun-Cursed)

Sun-Cursed roused herself out of sleep quicker than normal. The tug was there again, which meant an expecting parent. She got up and was pleasantly surprised to spot her son coming into the den. "Oh Sky," she greeted, "What brings you here? Is something wrong? Do you need any-"

The realization hit her like a wave.

Her halo brightened in delight, her happiness illuminating the den as she practically leapt over to Blessed Sky. "You! The tug is pulling me to you!"

It wasn't that she had favorites- she already had grandchildren and great grandchildren (albeit from her clutch with Wayward). Her excitement was more from the fact that Blessed Sky was the first of her children to come to her for a blessing.
