• [B] Little Wonder [Teal]

Teal walked slowly along a path while let her thoughts wander. What would the foal look like?
Would its fur be blue like hers? Or deep brown like his?
Would it be quiet and still, like Gentle Grace or more curious? She smiled without knowing it.

Then she stopped.
A fallen leaf rested on the surface of a puddle. Teal watched it for a long moment, forgetting why she had stopped at all. That happened often. Her mind drifted away. She didnt always know where her hooves would take her.

But she remembered now. The blessing.

She blinked slowly and looked around. The path had faded behind her. She was far from where she had started.. but somehow it felt right.

"Maybe the forest wants me to find it this way", she whispered and stepped forward again, eyes open for signs. A broken feather on a branch. A stone shaped like a heart. A vine curling in the shape of a spiral. She saw meaning in it all. This musst be the right way.

A small, slinky creature scuttled out from beneath a tangle of ferns that was clustered near the puddle's edge, rippling the still surface of the water so that the leaf rocked back and forth. Its skinny, spiked tail swished, and then it blinked up at the kimeti doe, eyes sharp and wary.

Then, quite suddenly, it was no longer a small creature, but instead a lanky buck, brown hair tumbling over one shoulder; a smile touched his face.

"Hello," said Fierce Warrior kindly. "Did you call me?"

Teal took a step back in surprise, her eyes wide. One moment, it had been a little creature and the next, a buck stood before her!

She blinked. "I.. I think I might have..", she said. Her gaze lingered on him, curious and unsure, but not afraid. "Or maybe the forest called you. I just followed where it led me." Her ears twitched slightly as she looked at him more closely, wonder blooming quietly in her chest. "You changed", she added as if still trying to understand what her eyes had seen.

Her heart beat a little faster. "Are you.. the one who gives blessings?"
