Mirage Sunset is in a little bit of a crisis.
A big crisis and she's trying so hard not to panic and run away.
Her loving and patient mother had asked her sooooo nicely to help with the setting up of the food offerings available during the afternoon of party and just taking in the sunlight for those who would show up. Everything was going great, she had asked a couple of delightful strangers to help her and everything was feeling blessed, and going right.
They had been gone for maybe an hour, to find ways to hold refreshments and to stretch their legs and when they came back . . .
Tragedy.
Flopped out in a food coma, laid eight little rox, and the chaotic entrails of their hard work and food.
The food.
Was Gone.
Hyperventilating, yelling, chasing the little creatures around to make them pay, digging a hole in the sand, she had done everything to try and calm down, and think hard, but all she could think was "Wow, I am so grounded."
After a while, one of her new friends cleared their throat, and leaned over to talk to her softly;
"Why not have them bring the food, like a feast from all," they said, and with great gusto, Mirage looked over to them like they were some blessing from the Motherfather. Fresh tears in her eyes from the crazy wash of emotions she just experienced, she zoomed off, momentarily, before coming back with a giant sign.
Welcome to the Great Shindig!
Enjoy some personal delicacies while the day sets!
Feel free to bring something to share!
Summer Solstice Evening!
Please.
She could only hope this works.
This is a fun simple little game, every day until the 21st;
feel free to post a picture of some food that you'd bring to a pot
(un)luck,
something that could save poor Mirage Sunset and her mysterious companions!
Maybe,
even if you're so bold, you can coerce the friendly strangers to give up
their names! Their parents are
Sees Beauty in Everything, and
Tidebound, both
owned by me! There is no naming theme, just whatever you feel is best!
You can try for both!
I BROUGHT SOME GRUB!

It was finally time, the longest day of the year, and her name-sake was finally ending, the blazing sun and summer weather bowing out in to a warm, colour-burned sunset. She had borrowed a fire salamander, and with the success
(?) of Mirage Sunset, the feast seemed to have happily quelled everyone in to a quieter, more relaxed evening.
With little nests wrapping around the fire that the little salamander was offering, she had picked up a little event for young and old - naming dreams. Almost everyone had one, some even had stories to tell after they had left the comfort of their sacs, (or, incredibly, mother's comfort). She wanted to hear the stories, hoping that her children would slowly come out of their shells, and volunteer their names to the star-lit night, alongside others that had come for them.
Sure, she had heard two of the stories already, she hoped that the sense of community and unison would warm them like the evening sands.
Help these kids find their voices!
Summer Solstice and
Winter Solstice recently had a clutch, so close to her personal day, and they want to see their last two kids express their naming dreams, finally!
The only hitch is that their names should be weather-based, or time of day based.
They currently have two other siblings, one named "
Smells like Winter", and the other one
is still thinking, but considering options!
