Curiously for a totoma, he was named for his high energy level and excitability that has him bouncing constantly from place to place, or bouncing in place. It's definitely not because if you harsh his vibe he will throw you so hard you'll bounce.

Life was looking a little bleak for this totoma until one particularly bountiful autumn, when every plant grew extremely robust and plentiful. There was, that season, a rare thing for even this land of blessed plenty - an eating contest. Now, we're not saying that this boy is always a glutton who eats more than his share, or starves others out of his own vice. But you point him at a mountain of food, tell him to eat as much of it as he can, and if he eats more of his pile than anyone else does of theirs, he wins the contest? Well, let's just say they didn't stack the first pile high enough. He had to pay for it after, but from that day onward, there was no doubting who the hungriest kin in the swamp was.
